Track Biography:
Aghabullogue has been in operation since 1988. The course is situated just outside Aghabullogue village. Many people park in the village and walk down to the course.
The point-to-point is run over John Murphy’s land who is also our chairman and has been from day one. The course itself is a real test of stamina and it is a great viewing track for spectators.
Over the years many top racehorses have won at Aghabullogue including Cheltenham Foxhunters winner Whyso Mayo who has won three times here at Aghabullogue, Lovely Citizen who also won the Cheltenham Foxhunters and Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Imperial Call who was also trained on the land.

By Road
From N22 between Cork & Macroom-Approx 24km Take R619 towards Mallow.
From N20 at Mallow take R619 towards Farnanes for approx 25km.
Aghabullogue will then be signposted.
By Air
Our point-to-point is located thirty five minutes from Cork airport.

The well bred BLODGE is unexposed and looked promising when falling on her Ballybunion debut and could be capable of seeing off this more experienced bunch. Cailin Ailean was third in that maiden on her latest outing also and if she returns fully fit can run well. The Bosses Sister would look a real danger to the selection having finished a solid second last time in a fair Dromahane contest and will have fitness reserves to call on.

Island Master was a fair second at Avaune last time and is another who can run a big race here. Buster Dan Dan needs to return to the form which saw him second at Affane following a below par effort. Double Box P, My Friend John and Verko can all be considered in calculations also.

The Hollinwell can make the selection stretch as he comes here fully fit and with recent success under his belt. Gagewell Flyer will be interesting on his points debut as will Headford Flyer making a return from the track as both have ability.

CAUTIOUS KATE looks banker material here. She ran a cracker against geldings on her debut and now against her own sex is the unexposed member of the race and will be hard to beat. Miss Oscarose has plenty of experience and ran well last time at Rockfield which will give her a real chance. Killeena House returns from a significant absence but on form cannot be rules out. Maeves Delight also returns from a layoff while Kicking Kate has each way claims in a competitive affair for this grade. Our Girl Elle has an easier alternative as does Nelly La Rue at Kilfeacle.

A close call amongst a few here but with the fitness edge EURO COURT has the edge. His recent Avaune fourth gives him a slight advantage. Auldthunder won last time but has since been disqualified so returns to maiden company having not run since June. Glen Ode and Moose Track have form but have been off longer so could improve for this outing.
