Track Biography:
The Tipperary foxhounds are one of the oldest packs in Ireland, dating back to 1820. The pack was formed by The Bartons who reside in Grove, which is only two minutes from the point-to-point.
The Tipperary foxhounds hold two point-to-points each year on the same popular and well-appointed track in the spring and in the autumn. The track is on undulating land and can be used both right and left handed, with an extension added in 2020.
Entries traditionally are large at the popular track, giving a great day of sport with divided races. Many winners at the track have gone on to make great names for themselves including Cheltenham foxhunter winners On The Fringe and Salsify.
How To Get There
By Road
From Dublin – Take the M7 from the city and follow the road until you see signs for the M8. Turn off the M8 at Cashel and follow signs for Fethard. Three miles before Fethard you will see signs for the point-to-point.
From Clonmel - Take the R689 north until you see signs for the track.
By Air
Our point-to-point is located an hour and a half from Cork airport and two hours from Dublin airport.

SIR FLASH HARRY finished a very encouraging third on his debut in a hot looking Rockfield contest last month which was won by subsequent Cheltenham sales-topper Poli Roi, and on that basis a strong performance is expected of this Alfred Nobel gelding. Breaking Ground showed nice progression on his seasonal re-appearance at Glenbane recently when finishing third behind Clondaw Castle which would entitle him to strong claims, whilst Grennan-placed Holryale is another that could figure amongst this big entry.

The daughter of Daylami may only have got as far as the first fence on her debut last Sunday at Boulta, however she was relatively short in the betting on that occasion, and a good run can be expected. Track recruit Chapter Two has finished placed inside the rails in the past, and may be able to get involved if re-capturing that form, whilst Mary Fields finished third at Grennan and may have place claims on that basis.

In a fairly open looking contest, Colin Bowe appears to have two of the leading contenders, with LACKEN BRIDGE, a faller at Loughbrickland recently when sitting in second behind As The Crow Flies, who franked that form with a second success at Kirkistown last Saturday possibly the one to follow. Bowe could also saddle Coopers Square for the fourth straight week, with that horse falling at the last when beaten as an odds-on favourite. Of the others, Real Warrior, West Of Milan and Ballyristeen all finished placed on their latest outings, whilst Oscar Contender could figure if bouncing back to his best.

The Robert Brabazon-trained SMOOTH SPOON is most unfortunate to remain a maiden as he appeared set for success at Corbeagh House last month when coming to grief at the final fence with the race at his mercy. He is most deserving of compensation here. Esthers Present very much caught the eye with a noteworthy sixth-placed effort against previous winners in the Wexford Hunter Chase, and it will be interesting to note if he can convert that promise back between the flags here, whilst Snugsborough Benny posted a career best last time out, and Ballysheehan ran well before falling on his debut at Tattersalls.
