The Martin Cullinane-trained GOING AWAY stepped-up notably when chasing home Bloodstream at Boulta on New Years Day which should leave her in pole position to record a maiden success here. Kings Dolly has more experience to her name, however she appeared to take a notable step forward on her re-appearance run at Killeagh a fortnight ago, so it will be interesting to see how she follows that effort up here, whilst Malpena could enter the place battle if returning to her Grennan effort from early November, having disappointed when last seeing competitive action at Glenbane later that month.

This could prove to be a fascinating match-up between Ministerforsport and SPRINGTINGFORGOLD, and if both turn-up, the marginal preference would have to be given to the latter as he has a number of interesting form lines to his name including a narrow defeat at the hands of the subsequent Fairyhouse Handicap Hurdle second Incitatum in the Autumn. Dont Act Up was forced to battle for his maiden success at Tinahely earlier this month, but is well-bred and expected to step-up, whilst Battle Anthem is a two-time winner this season, although he was no match for Dimple at Lingstown more recently.

The aptly-named BALLYVODOCK finished just a length in arrears of Kestrel on New Years Day at Boulta, and with that rival advertising the form of that run when winning a similar contest at Kilfeacle last Sunday, he would look the likely winner on that evidence. Rwegoinhigh has to overturn form with Ballyvodock, but is the likely danger. Ben Again struggled when switched back into open maiden company at Killeagh a fortnight ago, but he had shown promise in a Confined race at Boulta prior to Christmas which would bring him into consideration, whilst Cloneen Dream brings snippets of track form from the Summer into this race on his return from a spell under rules.

MICHEALAMAYSTAR ran out a comfortable winner of a similar contest at Killeagh recently when she had the potentially re-opposing Special Princess behind her in third. It is difficult to oppose her here. Recent maiden winners Bloodstream and Bessy Boru enter the race in good form and may well be the pick of the dangers alongside fellow last-time out maiden victor Smiling Jessica who beat subsequent winner Nickel at Toomebridge on the opening day of the season.

MUSHERA MOR finished a fair fourth at Aghabullogue earlier this month in a competitive looking race for the division, and it would be no surprise to see him take the required step-up to come out on top in this. Ben Again was comprehensively defeated last time out and will need to return to the form of his Boulta effort if he is to figure, whilst Trans Usa and Dalus King are both horses who have finished placed in the past but have disappointed more recently.
