Track Biography:
The North Kilkenny Foxhounds date back to 1931 with the first running of their point-to-point in the late 1940's.
The current racecourse at Parksgrove in Ballyragget has been in use since 1989, returning from Gowran Park to the open country, as had been in its formative years.
The right-handed course is practically level throughout making it a great viewing track and a favoured track amongst handlers that always has a large number of entries.
Previous track winners to have won at Ballyragget include former Grade One winner Herecomesthetruth, a maiden winner here in 2007, and former Grade Two winning Luska Lad won the open 2015.
How To Get There
From Dublin
Take the N7 and M8 southbound to the N77 in Laois. Take exit 17 from M7 and continue on the N77 to Ballyragget where the track will be sign posted.
From Cork
Take the M8 northbound to the R693 in Kilkenny. Take exit 4 from the M8 and continue on R639.
By Air
Ballyragget point-to-point is located two hours from Dublin and Cork airport.

RINGMOYLAN was not bought cheaply as a three-year-old, however he vindicated that price tag with a very promising debut at Tattersalls when chasing home the exciting Slate House. A big run is expected of him here on that basis. Orchard Lane was easy to back ahead of his debut at Maralin back in October, however he outran his price when finishing third behind Golden Drumlee. That effort has taken a notable boost with Minella Mischief, who beat him to the second spot by a short-head, running out an impressive winner at Lingstown last Sunday. They are the clear picks in this.

The subject of snippets of market support on that occasion, compensation could await here. Honest To Goodness is a terribly consistent performer who has finished placed in each of her last four starts including when chasing home the above average looking Lackaneen Leader at Lismore most recently. Ballyvodock third Cloneen Dream and Vivaliono, who has twice finished placed around Borris, are likely place contenders.

For an 11-year-old and the oldest horse in the race, AZTEC CHIEF has few miles on the clock and he has been lightly raced in recent times. However, when he has made it to the track, he shown plenty of ability to suggest he is the clear horse to beat in this. The mare Thisoneisforollie will be in receipt of a weight allowance from many of her rivals and she is an interesting contender on the evidence of her Cragmore success which appeared to be a competitive heat. Drimsree Lad, a wide-margin winner at Armagh in testing conditions, will face a different test at this venue, but he too is another for the shortlist.
