Track Biography:
Quakerstown Point-to-Point is run under the auspices of the Co Clare Hunt. The track is based at Quakerstown in Boston, Co Clare and is set against the backdrop of the majestic Burren.
Quakerstown has proved to be an excellent source of young talent in recent years with Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winner, Champagne Fever starting his career with a win at this meeting in 2011.
Another exciting young talent to come from this meeting was Bacardys who went on to win the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree and the Grade 1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle in Leopardstown in 2017.
The 2016 meeting also saw the exciting Next Destination land the four year old maiden and he is now a multiple Graded winner over hurdles including a Grade 1 at Naas.
How To Get There
By Road
From Galway/Kinvara
Follow the N18 towards Oranmore and remain on this road until you reach Gort. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Crowe Street. After 2.8km turn right and then follow 7.8km turn right following the road towards Tubber. Turn right in Tubber and continue along the road towards to Boston. Follow the signs to the Point to Point.
From Ballyvaughan:
Take the N67 out of the town towards Kinvara. Follow this road for 11 km and take a right turn followed by an immediate left turn to get on the road towards Boston. The racetrack will be on your right hand side.
From Dublin/Limerick/Shannon Airport/Ennis:
Take the M7 to Limerick. Continue on to the N18. Follow the M18. Take Exit 15 sign posted for Crusheen. At the roundabout take the second exit towards Crusheen. Once through Crusheen turn left towards Boston. Continue on this road until you see signs directing you into the race track on your left-hand side.
By Air
Quakerstown Point to Point is conveniently situated within 30 minutes of Shannon Airport. Then follow the above directions to reach the track.

DERBY was beaten just 12-lengths in a similar event at Monksgrange recently behind a decent looking sort in Madison To Monroe, who has since joined Gold Cup winning owner Alan Potts for 300,000 pounds sterling. The Denis Murphy-trained French bred went with plenty of promise on that occasion and stayed on nicely in the closing stages. He Looks the type who will improve with that effort behind him and should go close here. Burrows Edge also finished third on debut and should play a hand given natural improvement. Ask JD and Momus look the best of the rest of those with previous experience.

MUST HAVEA FLUTTER showed good improvement from his debut effort to finish second at Kildorrery recently. The son of Mustameet failed to go with the same fluency when we last seen him but he is worth another try and should give a good account himself here. Smugglers Blues showed enough on debut to suggest he is capable of winning an event like this and having been freshened up with a break, he should go well. Highway One O One was brought down too early last time out to judge him on that effort but his debut effort suggests he can play a hand here. The Ogle Gogle Man looks best of the remainder.

Trained by Paurick O'Connor, the six-year-old pressed the winner all the way to the line on that occasion and showed a very likeable attitude. Gortnagirl has shown herself to be a progressive type and ran her best race to date when beaten just a head at Kilworth last month. It is very possible that she will take another step forward here and if doing so, is definitely a danger to the selection. Someone New, Woodfield Robin and Oscar Winner look the best of the remainder.
