Track Biography:

The point-to-point course is located at Loughanmore, Dunadry near Templepatrick.

Our landowner, Wilson Dennison has owned and produced a number of top-class national hunt horses including graded winners Yorkhill, Shaneshill, and Bellshill.

Our point-to-point is proud to have launched the career of many talented young horses who have gone on to make six figure sums at the horse-in-training sales in both Ireland and the UK.  Some of the leading names include the Cheltenham festival winner Ted Veale and the Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up Truckers Tavern.

Its reputation as one of the premier tracks in the country, ensures that is has a particularly strong recent roll of honour, with the four-year-old maiden that is run at their Easter fixture really standing up to the test of time.

How To Get There

Having come down at the final fence on debut at Kirkistown when looking set to play a big role, MANETTI made amends at the second time of asking at Portrush. As the only maiden victor in this winners contest, he has to be considered as the one to beat. Theatre One ran well in the Autumn, posting solid displays at Toomebridge and around here in October. Having lost his way somewhat in hunter chases, he could be more at home in this. Recent Bellurgan Park fourth Sandyway took a step forward on that occasion and could get involved once again.

Placed in each of his three starts to date, MULLAGHMURPHY BLUE is certainly capable of landing a maiden this season and he could well get off the mark in this contest, which he enters having finished second at Durrow last month. Lagan Island was only touched off by a neck at Maralin and is open to improvement following that first completed run, whilst Bayard De Marcigny stayed-on well at Kirkistown on debut and is another unexposed sort in this.

HOLYCROSS LITO was not at her best at Loughbrickland a fortnight ago when chasing home Chapter Two, however she can return to winning ways in this contest as she is a classy mare for this division following wide-margin victories at Kirkistown and Maralin already this year. The Sophster has finished in the placings at this fixture in each of the last two years, and this consistent performer is sure to be involved on her seasonal re-appearance.

OURMANMASSINI is currently one of three horses at the top of the champion point-to-pointer category and with five victories already under his belt this season, including at Bellurgan Park last Sunday, he would have to be feared if lining up here as he holds multiple entries across the Easter weekend. Quiet Account had to settle for second behind star pointing mare Maple Mons in a Down Royal Hunter Chase last month, however the return to three-miles will suit. Meanwhile As The Crow Flies is the relatively unkown factor in the line-up as he steps up to open company this season following four straight victories.

LOVEFROMABOVE acquitted herself well on her return between the flags and first start for the Lyle Andrew yard when finishing third in a competitive contest at Portrush. The runner-up in that contest has already come out and advertised the form by winning at Loughbrickland and on that basis, she is the one to beat here. Bastante has struggled to re-capture her best form of late but could get involved if putting her best foot forward, whilst Commercial Ruin, A Touch Of Sparkle, and Woodfield Robin hold solid place claims.

COLGRAVE SOUND has a host of place form to his name and whilst he is now a 10-year-old, he is having his first start for a new yard and that change of scenery may be enough to see him across the line here in front. Theatre One has already finished placed around here this season and will be more at home in this company having been well-beaten in hunter chases, whilst Portrush second Sarsfields Legend, Winterberry and Isle Road are all not without chances.
