Track Biography:
The track is situated on the banks of the picturesque river Suir.
It is being held on the grounds of the Kavanagh and Larkin families in the townland of Knockinroe.
Our point to point was formally held at Fairyhill, Templemore and only recently moved to its now location in 2017.
In the late 70's and early 80's these grounds were used by local trainers namely William Harney and Lesley Young on a regular basis to gallop their horses which proved successful for them on a regular basis.

How To Get There
By Road
Dublin and limerick exit M7 at junction 22 for Roscrea / Templemore follow N62 towards Templemore turning left onto the L3248.
Cork and Kilkenny to Templemore follow the N62 to Roscrea turning Right onto the L3248
Track is 1km from N62.

Our point-to-point is located one hour and forty minutes from Dublin airport.

Combined with our free parking, we are lucky to have a clear viewing track that allows race goers to get up close to the action.
The track can also be viewed from the comfort of your own car should you wish to bring a picnic.
We also have an area that can be used to facilitate disabled parking to cater for every racegoer.

We are very lucky to have such a dedicated hard-working community who volunteer a lot of their time in the lead up to the event with many of them providing delicious homemade soup, fresh sandwiches and cakes.

The Black Sam Bellamy gelding, THOMAS MACDONAGH, enters the race fresh from a promising debut at Dromahane a fortnight ago where he finished a close third, and he could be tough to beat in this if running up to that form. Reikers Island is out of a mare who won twice on the level and he showed plenty when going down narrowly at Kinsale on the final weekend of last season. He is a definite danger on his return to action. They appear to have the pick of the previous form, whilst Sneaky Pint can be forgiven his last run which came in very testing conditions.

Valcourt has not been able to reproduce her Durrow effort from last March, and was last seen running out in Dromahane. If she could get back to her best, she could be a danger, alongside Clashavey who finished third on her debut a fortnight ago.

Ardrahan went close at Dromahane in an adjacent maiden and would look the big danger, whilst Commanding Spirit is another former track horse who was running for Jonjo O Neill in England and carries the colours made famous by Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Johns Spirit.
